If you get a reasonably D1 quality camera installed and they have great alarm settings with full zoning within each camera. GO for night with out lights and photo or video to your phone where ever you are. Call the police and tell them you can see the person in your house or business and they must attend un like the old dumb alarm systems. DYI or professional install of a good camera system is in my opinion worth every dollar and much better than you being required to go and see what activate an alarm before the police will attend at 2am in the morning or while your at work.
